THIS IS THE STORY OF ROSA THE DONKEY

 

I first met Rosa in the middle of a herd of about 30 jennets.  Before I left home, Larry and I had agreed that, if possible, I would let the donkey I was bringing home pick me. 

 

This proved to not be an issue, because the minute Rosa saw me she zeroed in on my person and would not let me visit with the other donkeys. 

 

She followed me everywhere. She placed herself between me and any of the other jennets at whom I was looking. Maybe it was because of the color of my hair. Actually, I don't know what it was, but she surely did choose me. 

 

To my knowledge, Rosa had spent most of her time in a donkey herd without a lot of people time.  I think the following pictures attest to the fact that donkeys are very people oriented and truly enjoy our company.
